Aline Burt, 87, of Dawsonville, died Aug. 9, 2016.

Born Dec. 3, 1928 to the late Grady and Ida Harben, she was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. Mrs. Burt was a dedicated homemaker who also devoted her life to supporting the ministry of her late husband of 64 years, the Rev. Lawton Burt.

She enjoyed her flowers, gardening, but most of all, taking care of her entire family.

Aline was a member of Juno Baptist Church.

Her grandson, Neal Burt; sister, Beatrice Vaughters; and brothers, Herbert Harben, Warren Harben, Havard Harben, Roy Harben and Clifton Harben, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Linda and David Thompson of Gillsville, Jane Ralston of Blue Ridge, Glenn and Robin Burt of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Cris Nabors, Amy and Steve Sinnamon, Elizabeth Ralston, Matthew Ralston; great-grandchildren, Alex Nabors, Dalyn Guinn, Kayla Guinn; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Gail Harben; sisters-in-law, Arlene Swafford, Maude Harben, Irene Harben, Ruby Harben, Hazel Stowers; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James and Diane Burt; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Aug. 11 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Brody Hughes, Dennis Bottoms, Gerrell Richards, Phillip Burt and Sammy Harben officiating. Interment followed in the Juno Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested made to Juno Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Cameron Burt, P.O. Box 627, Dawsonville, GA 30534 or Peachtree Christian Hospice, 3430 Duluth Park Lane, Duluth, GA 30096.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
