Alfred Eugene Leming, 89, of Loganville, died Jan. 1, 2017.

Mr. Leming was a United States Navy Veteran and retired from Chevron after 40 plus years of service.

His grandson, Lelan Gene Leming, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his daughter, Linda Jeen Butler of Marietta; sons and daughters-in-law, Doug and Carole Jan Leming of Loganville, Lelan Franklin and Sue Leming of Covington; grandchildren, Wendy Jan and Doug Norris, Julia Kate Leming, Nicole and Matt Godbee; great-grandchildren, Bryson and Sarah Norris, Macy and Grayson Godbee; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Jan. 8 in the Loganville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home.

Tim Stewart Funeral Home of Loganville was in charge of the arrangements.

Barbara Lucille Bopko McGullion
Barbara Lucille Bopko McGullion, 73, of Dawsonville, died Jan. 3, 2017.

Ms. McGullion was born Jan. 13, 1943, long ago and far away, to the late Joe and Lucille Bopko.

She was a loving mother and grandmother.

Her brother, John Michael Bopko, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Yvonne McGullion of Dawsonville, Tony McGullion of Duluth; grandchildren, Jeremy, Wesley, Nicholas, Richard, Austin, Luciana; various other relatives also survive.

The family is planning private memorial services at a later date.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
