Alberta R. Carlisle, 88, of Dawsonville, died Nov. 26, 2015.

Born Feb. 21, 1927 in Toccoa, to the late John Frank and Sallie Ramey, she had lived in Dawson County since the 1960s.

A homemaker at her death, Mrs. Carlisle was formerly employed at the Holiday Inn in Gainesville, Oasis Laundry and the Corner Café.

Her husband, Benny Carlisle; children, Michael Ramey, Peggy Jean Carlisle, Robert Carlisle; great-granddaughter, Katlyn Graham; two sisters and six brothers, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter, Marilyn Thomason of Dawsonville; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Nov. 29 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ruel Martin officiating. Interment followed in the Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requested that donations be made to help offset final expenses.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
