A wind advisory has been issued for areas including Dawson County, according to a Jan. 12 National Weather Service alert.
The advisory will remain in effect until 1 a.m. Saturday, the alert stated.
People can expect southerly winds between 15-25 mph, with wind gusts of up to 45 mph.
The gusts could blow around loose objects and down tree limbs, which could result in a few power outages.
Secure outdoor items and take extra caution while diving in the area, the alert stated.

The Dawson County Sheriff’s Office is also posting public safety and weather updates on its Facebook and Instagram pages.
Dawson-area residents can also sign up for Dawson County’s alert system, Smart911.
