Update: Authorities identified the body of a woman found dead last month in the woods of Flowery Branch as Sarai Llanos Gomez, 19, of Ecuador.

Gomez’s body was found June 20 in the woods off Paradise Point Road. Her family was notified Monday, July 25.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office has ruled Gomez’s death as a homicide, but no suspect has been publicly identified.

The Sheriff’s Office would not release how Gomez was identified or what the cause of death was. The Hall County Coroner’s Office did not have information on the cause of death when reached Tuesday, July 26.

The Hall County Sheriff's Office has released a sketch of a woman after her body was found in Flowery Branch on June 20 in the woods off Paradise Point Road.

Earlier this month, the Sheriff’s Office released a sketch of a person of interest in the homicide.

The person of interest is a White man, in his late 20s to early 30s, with a stocky build. He is believed to be between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-11.

Sheriff's Lt. Don Scalia said the relationship between the two is unknown.

Scalia showed surveillance footage of the person of interest and a dark gray SUV, though Scalia did not release any further details on the SUV.
