One day after announcing that 21 parks operated by the Army Corps of Engineers on Lake Lanier will close ahead of Memorial Day, the Corps has reversed course and is keeping nine of them open.

A Peachtree Corners man was taken to the hospital and put on a ventilator initially Saturday, July 19, after flipping off a pontoon boat into a shallow section of Lake Lanier, according to authorities.
