Two people who jumped off a boat that caught fire Sunday, July 24, at Holiday Marina on Lake Lanier were transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with minor injuries, according to authorities.
Department of Natural Resources game wardens responded to a boat fire around 1 p.m. Sunday at the marina.
Hall County Fire Rescue said two of the three people onboard were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, which DNR spokesman Mark McKinnon described as burns and contusions.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office.
No further information was released by the fire department Monday, July 25.
McKinnon said he did not have any new information on the case when reached by The Times Monday.
