On Oct. 6, the Dawson County Health Department will host a drive-thru flu shot event at the Farmer’s Market pavilion, located at 86 Allen Street in Dawsonville.
According to information by the Department of Public Health (DPH), the event will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 6 and will allow people to stay in their cars for the whole process, from registration to vaccination.
Vaccines available during the event will include high-dose and Flublok vaccines for $66 and the regular flu vaccine for $30. Most insurances are accepted for a $0 copay, and Medicare and Medicaid are accepted. To verify commercial insurance coverage, those with questions should call the Dawson County Health Department at 706-265-2611.
