School system distributes hundreds of backpacks to local children ahead of the 2023-24 school year

Despite the summer heat and sun on Thursday July 27, representatives of the Dawson County School System and several local nonprofits held a successful drive-through backpack distribution event to give out backpacks full of school supplies to local children about to return to class next week.
