The Sawnee Electric Membership Foundation recently awarded $5,000 scholarships to 20 local high school seniors, including three students from Dawson County High School.
According to a release, the scholarships are part of its goal to support local education in the areas that Sawnee EMC serves.
“The Youth Scholarship Program is a shining example of what the Foundation and Sawnee EMC are all about; which is their commitment to being a partner and supporting in the various communities Sawnee EMC serves,” Sawnee EMC’s Vice President of Member Services Blake House said in the release.
The 2021 scholarship recipients included three seniors from Dawson County High School: Annsley Anglin, Elizabeth Keys and Caleb Roberson.

According to the release, the foundation has awarded $852,500 in scholarships to 212 high school seniors in seven counties over the past 15 years.
