On March 18, the Dawson County School System will hold its “Kindergarten Round-Up” event for the 2022-23 school year.

Parents with children enrolling in kindergarten classes in any of the four elementary schools in the county are encouraged to bring their children to the Dawson County Schools Technology Department, 175 Tiger Circle, for a Kindergarten Readiness Test and to submit copies of several needed documents.

Parents must submit their child’s registration online between Feb. 9 and March 18 prior to the event. Online registration can be found on the Dawson County Schools website at

Parents whose children are enrolled in Robinson Elementary School, Kilough Elementary School or Riverview Elementary School Pre-K classes do not need to register online or to come on March 18.

The needed documents parents are asked to bring with them to the event include:

  • Proof of residency (such as an electric, water, internet or gas bill in the parents name, mortgage statement, deed or rental agreement)

  • Georgia immunization form (#3231 Form)

  • Georgia eye/ear/dental/nutrition form (#3300 DPH Form)

  • Birth certificate (must be 5 before Sept. 1, 2022)

  • Social security card

Parents who are unable to bring their children on March 18 for registration should contact their child’s school. Those who are unsure of their district can call one of the schools for verification. The four elementary schools and their numbers are:

  • Black’s Mill Elementary School: 706-216-3300 ext. 1202

  • Kilough Elementary School: 706-216-8595 ext. 2001

  • Riverview Elementary School: 706-216-5812 ext. 1901
