Paige Galt has been hired as the new principal for Dawson County Middle School, following approval by the Dawson County Board of Education during last Friday’s called board meeting.

According to a press release by the school system, Galt will take over the principal role beginning in the upcoming 2022-23 school year, following the resignation of the middle school’s previous principal.

“Dr. Galt is thrilled to begin her 25th year in education and work alongside the teachers, staff, parents and community in creating the next chapter for DCMS,” the release said. “She is committed to ensuring that all students are engaged in a positive learning environment and are gaining the skills they need to be successful at Dawson County Junior High School.”
