The Dawson County Future Farmers of America (FFA) club has officially opened its annual spring plant sale, which will be held online this year.

The plant sale is an annual fundraiser for the club, and this year it will look a little different due to COVID-19, according to FFA Advisor Keith Pankey.

“The Dawson FFA online plant sale is up and ready,” Pankey said. “Plants must be ordered through the website due to COVID guidelines.”

The plant sale features a wide variety of bedding plants, hanging baskets and garden vegetables available for purchase. This year’s sale will operate by drive through. Those interested in purchasing a plant can order it ahead of time online and pick it up at the FFA greenhouse, where students from the club will load plants directly into customers’ cars.

Pick-up days for the plant sale will be Friday, April 16 and April 20 through April 23 from 2:45 to 6 p.m. The plant sale will be open and the website for ordering will be live until 6 p.m. on Thursday April 15.
