Authorities in Dawson County made a massive seizure of narcotics over the weekend, leading to multiple drug trafficking charges for a local man.
According to a Facebook post by the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies seized approximately 9 ounces of mushrooms, 6 THC cartridges, 8 packs of THC edibles, 56 pre-rolled marijuana cigarettes and 14.95 pounds of marijuana after being dispatched to a local residence for a dispute.
Seven firearms, including handguns, rifles and a shotgun were also seized from the residence.
Dawson County Detention Center records show that Shannon Dwight Waters, 38, was charged in connection with this incident.
Waters has been charged with trafficking in marijuana, two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug-related objects, seven counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and criminal trespass family violence.
Waters is being held in the Dawson County Detention Center without bond.
