Dawsonville man faces allegations of sexual battery, unlawful surveillance
McLean

One man is behind bars without bond after he was recently arrested and charged for alleged sexual offenses.

Christopher Alex McLean, 21, Dawsonville was arrested by the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office and charged with two counts of unlawful eavesdropping and surveillance, aggravated sexual battery and a misdemeanor count of sexual battery.

The surveillance and aggravated sexual battery charges are felonies. The charges relate to two separate series of events alleged to have occurred in 2021 and 2022.

One DCSO warrant alleged that McLean video recorded the female victim using his iPhone on Aug. 29, 2021, between 12:15-12:45 p.m. He supposedly set the phone to record in the victim’s bedroom while she was taking a shower and recorded her undressed.

The other three warrants relate to events allegedly occurring between the night of Jan. 15, 2022 and Jan. 16. McLean allegedly penetrated the victim with a foreign object without her consent while she was sleeping. During that time frame, he’s also alleged to have ejaculated on the victim and photographed her undressed while she slept.

DCN will update this story as more information becomes available.
