Dawson County woman arrested for alleged meth trafficking

North Georgia authorities say that a 51-year-old Dawson County woman was arrested on Monday morning after 165 grams of methamphetamine were found during a search of a Dawson County residence. 

In a Facebook post on Monday afternoon, the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office reported that Stacey Lynn Evans was taken into custody on Monday, Feb. 15, 2021, for charges of trafficking methamphetamine, following a joint investigation by the Lumpkin and Dawson County Sheriff’s Offices, and the GBI’s West Metro Regional Drug Enforcement Office.

The post said that law enforcement officers from the three agencies conducted a search at a Dawsonville residence on Monday and allegedly found Evans to be in possession of 165 grams of methamphetamine.

Evans has been booked into the Dawson County Detention Center, but no information on her bond or exact charges was available as of 1:30 p.m. on Monday.
