This month, Simon Property Group and San Francisco-based financial technology firm Cardless Inc. officially launched the Simon American Express credit card, offering shoppers new ways to save at all Simon malls, including the North Georgia Premium Outlets, Mall of Georgia and Sugarloaf Mills.

According to a press release by Simon, the new card enables eligible cardmembers to earn statement credits with each eligible purchase they make anywhere American Express cards are accepted.

“Cardmembers will receive up to 5% back, in statement credits, at participating retailers, both online and at Simon destinations in the United States and U.S. territories,” the release said. “Cardmembers earn up to 3% back, in statement credits, on all eligible purchases made at U.S. Simon properties; and up to 1.5% back, in statement credits, on all other purchases.”

The new card launched on Jan. 12, and participating retailers include JCPenney, Aéropostale, Brooks Brothers, Eddie Bauer, Forever 21, Lucky Brand Jeans, Nautica and Reebok. Online purchases at Gilt Groupe, Rue La La and Shop Premium Outlets also quality. Cardmembers will not pay an annual fee, late payment fees or foreign transaction fees.

New cardmembers will be eligible to earn a bonus worth $150 in statement credits after spending $1,000 in the first 90 days, and purchases of Simon gift cards are eligible to accrue up to 1.5% back in statement credits, the release added. Cardmembers can redeem statement credits directly from the Cardless mobile app, which is available for Android and iOS.

Those interested can apply for the Simon credit card via smartphone or desktop web browser and can manage their account through the Cardless mobile app after approval. A physical card will arrive via postal mail.
