On Wednesday Nov. 2, the Dawson County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for Sandy Jenkins with Goosehead Insurance.
Jenkins is a longtime resident of the Dawson County community, and previously she worked for State Farm agent Roger Slaton before then working for State Farm agent Carla Boutin.
“I’ve been around Dawsonville for quite some time; I worked for Roger Slaton for 18 years — I loved working for him, he was wonderful,” Jenkins said. “After he passed, Carla… took me on, showed me some technical skills, brought me over and has just shown me the Lord even more. I greatly appreciate her for that.”
Now, Jenkins is an independent agent with Goosehead Insurance and offers all types of insurance. She has access to about 50 insurance carriers, so she is able to work with any client to help find the policy that works the best for them.
“I have the ability to write everything from A triple plus rating companies all the way down to sub-rated companies, so if somebody has a DUI or not a good driving record I have a place for them which is good,” Jenkins said.
Before cutting the ribbon, Dawson County Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Mandy Power commended Jenkins on her accomplishments and welcomed her to the chamber.
“We are so excited to be celebrating Sandy Jenkins and Goosehead Insurance; [she’s] a friendly face that’s been around for a long time here in Dawson County,” Power said. “We’re so excited to have you not only in the community but as part of the chamber family as well.”
Jenkins’ office is located at 800 Old Dawson Village Road, Suite 120, in the same suite as Bohanan and Gee Elite Realty. To get in touch with Jenkins and to learn more about her business, call 770-450-6311 or email her at email@example.com.
