Despite the rain on March 22, the parking lot at the Dawson County Chamber of Commerce office was full of smiles and cheer as dozens of people gathered to celebrate local painting business Freedom Painting and Handyman services with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Freedom Painting and Handyman services has been in business since 2016 and offers a wide array of services, including interior and exterior painting, framing, shiplap, drywall, pressure washing, tiling, bathroom renovations and more.
According to Ashley Safier, who owns and operates the company with her husband Eric, they have seen their business grow exponentially over the past several years that they have been in operation.
“We would love to help each and every one of you— we do the small stuff and we do the big stuff,” Safier said. “We’ve got five crews, we’ve been running our company for about six years and we’ve been very blessed and busy. And we’re just grateful for all of you guys.”
Currently, the company services residential properties, but hopes to potentially add commercial properties someday, she added.
Before cutting the ribbon, Dawson County Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Mandy Power welcomed Freedom Painting and Handyman to the chamber, commenting that the business is an example of a true small business.
“Eric and Ashley are a true small business,” Power said. “I say it over and over but small businesses are the heart of our community and we are so grateful to have y’all in the chamber family.”
