Dawson County Chamber of Commerce hires Anna Graefen as director of marketing and events

The Dawson County Chamber of Commerce has hired Anna Graefen as its new director of marketing and events. 

According to a press release by the chamber, Graefen has been a longtime member of and ambassador for the chamber, so she knows the Dawson County Chamber of Commerce well. She will begin her new position on Nov. 17, 2022. 

Graefen has lived in North Georgia for over 10 years, is a licensed realtor and has worked with some of the top teams in Dawson County since 2012. 

“Having grown up in a military family she understands the importance of what it means to be a part of a community,” the release said. 

Graefen has been responsible for overseeing and handling contract management, day to day office operations and coordinating marketing and event activities as well as community relations. According to the release, she has been told that she has a “positive energy that is contagious”. 

“She is a passionate team member with a proven talent for her organizational skills and maintaining customer relations,” the release said.

Graefen has been an ambassador with the Dawson County Chamber of Commerce, and she served as the ambassador chair in 2018. She is a graduate of the Dawson County Leadership program class of 2020. She is also a member of the American Association of Notaries and the 400 North Association of Realtors. 

She lives with her son, Reznor, and they attend Browns Bridge Church and enjoy hiking in North Georgia.

“We are so excited to have Anna join the chamber team,” Dawson County Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Mandy Power said in the release. “Anna’s experience and involvement in the community are exactly what we were looking for with this new position.”
