A 38-year-old man was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after officials say he led deputies on a chase up Ga. 400 last week. Jerry Brian Smith, of Dawson County, was charged with DUI, open container, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane and fleeing and attempting to elude after he allegedly refused to stop his Ford F-150 pickup truck for a traffic stop around 11:04 a.m. on July 13, according to Deputy Doug Rainwater, a spokesman for the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office. "He refused to stop and continued on 400 until he turned onto Settingdown Road going southwest," Rainwater said.
