Georgia State Patrol is currently investigating a two-vehicle wreck that occurred earlier this evening on Hwy. 53. 

Dawson County Emergency Services Director Danny Thompson said that the incident occurred near Dell Conner Construction and Buddy Burt Road and confirmed that there were a total of six patients involved. 

He said that there were two confirmed ejections in the wreck, which occurred around 5:30 p.m. 

One patient was life flighted to Grady Memorial Hospital and a child was taken to Children's Health Care of Atlanta Scottish Rite, he said. 

Thompson said all patients are in critical but stable condition. 

Hwy. 53 was fully and partially closed for around two hours.
