Every Friday and Saturday from Oct. 9 to Dec. 11, the Bowen Center for the Arts will host a weekend marketplace for local vendors to sell their arts and crafts.

Bowen Director Ginny Greenwood said that all vendors of handmade arts and crafts are welcome to sign up and participate in the marketplace.

“I have seven tables available and we can provide more,” Greenwood said, “but if you reserve early you can choose your own position and get first dibs.”

Vendors who are interested in signing up for a spot can call the Bowen to reserve a table spot on the date or dates they want to sell their wares. Vendor spaces are available for $50 per weekend, or $175 for four weekends of the vendor’s choice.

Hours of the market will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Setup will take place on Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. or Friday from 9 to 10 a.m., and will be coordinated by Bowen staff.

This year there will be extra safety precautions in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Masks are requested for attendees and artists, and hand sanitizer will be provided. Tables will be spaced apart for social distancing guidelines.

“It’s all indoors, so it’s comfortable and cozy. And everyone is a space apart so it’s safe and healthy,” Greenwood said.
