Dawson County voters headed to the polls today to cast their ballots for the counties next clerk of superior court and district 3 county commissioner.

With all precincts reporting, results are as follows:

Dawson County Clerk of Courts

Doug Boyle – 466 votes, 11.30 percent

 

Gaye Cantrell – 702 votes, 17.02 percent

 

Philip Cummings ­– 48 votes, 1.16 percent

 

Aimee Goodson – 511 votes, 12.39 percent

 

Lisa Henson – 559 votes, 13.55 percent

 

Steve Holder – 239 votes, 5.79 percent

 

Justin Power – 799 votes, 19.37 percent

 

Merrill Rackley – 190 votes, 4.61 percent

 

Eric Toal – 184 votes, 4.46 percent

 

Carl Volk – 421 votes, 10.21 percent

Dawson County District 3 Commission seat 

Lionel Graves – 887 votes, 25.55 percent

 

Jimmy Hamby – 1,393 votes, 54.03 percent

 

Bill Minor – 709 votes, 20.42 percent

U.S. House District 9

Tom Graves - 1,761 votes, 49.09 percent

Lee Hawkins - 1,045 votes, 29.13 percent

Steve Tarvin - 265 votes, 7.39 percent

Chris Cates - 275 votes, 7.67 percent
