Incumbent David Nahmias held on to his post as Georgia Supreme Court Justice during the Nov. 30 runoff election, and attorney Chris McFadden was elected to the state Court of Appeals.
Statewide, Nahmias won 67 percent of the vote, and attorney Tammy Lynn Adkins received 33 percent.
In Dawson County, Nahmias tallied 83 percent, or 430 votes. Adkins had 17 percent, or 89 votes. For state Court of Appeals, McFadden received 62 percent of the vote locally, while attorney Antoinette Davis received 38 percent.
McFadden received 371 votes in Dawson County and Davis got 127 for a 75-25 percent margin.
Dawson County had 525 voters show up for the Nov. 30 runoff election -- or about 4 percent of its 12,514 registered voters.
