The public is invited to join Dawson County Commissioners on Thursday as they hold a meet and greet for newly appointed County Manager Randy Dowling.

The event will immediately follow Thursday night's board of commissioner's meeting that starts at 6 p.m. on the second floor of the Dawson County Government Center.

Dowling's first day on the job was Jan. 8.

With nearly 30 years of local government experience, Dowling most recently served as Hoschton's county manager.

Dawson County Commission Chairman Mike Berg said the meet and greet is a great way for the community to introduce themselves to Dowling, who has immediate plans to relocate to Dawson County.
