Citizens of Dawsonville are invited to attend a joint community connections workshop next week.

The Jan. 17 workshop will run from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at 28 Main Street (the Board of Education) in Dawsonville. Light refreshments will be served.

The workshop is a chance for citizens to meet with heads of local government so that they may address questions and concerns, as well as to inform the public of projects and plans that the city and county have in store.

The event is a partnership of Dawson County, the City of Dawsonville and the Dawson County Sheriff's Office.

The workshop will include presentations from two guest speakers: Adam Hazel of the Georgia Mountain Regional Commission and Tony Passarello, independent medical sales. The topic will be "What's Coming Our Way."

The workshop vision, project discussion, community overviews and an open forum are also on the agenda for the evening.
