Dawson County Commission Chairman Mike Berg will deliver his annual state of the county address to the local chamber of commerce membership Thursday.

The chamber's monthly luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m. and is held at the Dawson County Board of Education's Professional Development Center on Main Street.

The chairman is expected to talk more about the new retail developments sprouting up along Ga. 400 and the impact of the construction for the intersection improvements at the highway's intersection with SR 53, among other county issues.

"I'll concentrate on the state of the county, both from a construction standpoint and building process," he said. "I'll also talk a lot about out financial structure...about the budget and what we're experiencing, and also our view of where we see the county in the next few years from a tax and property standpoint."

Lunch reservations are available.
