GDOT to hold open house on bridge detour

The Georgia Department of Transportation will hold an open house next week about a proposed detour for the replacement of a bridge on Hwy. 183 at Cochran Creek.

According to a public notice, the open house will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 19 at Dawsonville City Hall.

The public will have an opportunity to view the proposed detour, ask questions and comment on the project and detour.

The public is invited to attend anytime during the open house as there will be no formal presentation. A court reporter will be available to allow the public an opportunity to make verbal comments about the project.

Written statements will be accepted concerning the project until Tuesday, July 3 and can be mailed to Eric Duff, State Environmental Administrator, Georgia Department of Transportation, 600 West Peachtree Street NW- 16th floor, Atlanta, Ga. 30308.
