Dawson County Schools will be dismissed early Thursday as the result of a wintry weather forecast.  

School Superintendent Keith Porter said all schools will be released at 12:30 p.m.  

Officials say a decision will be made regarding Friday as soon as possible. The school system will notify parents regarding additional closures. Officials said the school Web site, www.dawsoncountyschools.org, will be updated as conditions warrant.
