The Dawson County School System is already looking ahead to its newest generation of students.

Kindergarten registration will be held from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. April 17 at the Rock Creek Park gym.

Registration will be for Black's Mill, Kilough, Riverview and Robinson elementary schools.

In order to register a child for kindergarten, all of the following items must be brought to registration: Proof of residency (utility bill, lease), Georgia Immunization Form 3231, Georgia Eye, Ear and Dental Form 3300, birth certificate and the registering child's social security card.

The child being registered must also be present.

If you are unable to provide one of the listed items above, the system encourages parents to still come and register your child on April 17 and bring the missing items to the school later.

If you cannot bring the child to registration, notify the school.
