DCHS to host spring art show

The Dawson County High School Visual Art Program is presenting their annual spring art show. This year’s theme is “Modern Renaissance.”

Art pieces created by talented DCHS students will be on display in the Performing Arts Center lobby from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. April 30 to May 4.

A reception will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. May 3 with an awards ceremony beginning at 6 p.m.

The Performing Arts Center is located at Dawson County High School at 1665 Perimeter Road. The art show is free and all are welcome to attend.

Despite the turmoil over the last year, as classes were canceled and pushed online due to COVID-19, the graduation rate in Dawson County for 2020 remains one of the highest in the state, according to Dawson County Schools Superintendent Damon Gibbs.
