During a monthly assembly on March 2, the teachers at Riverview Elementary School were surprised with a $10,000 check by Burlington Stores’ Regional Loss Prevention Manager Jim Mauldin and Dawsonville Burlington Store Manager Tom White. As part of the new store’s outreach to the community, Burlington – in conjunction with AdoptAClassroom.org - presented RvES with the check that will be divided among the classrooms so that all teachers can buy the supplies they need.

“This is a very special gift to our school. This is going to put money into every…classroom and that is amazing,” said RvES Principal Julia Mashburn. “It is such a treat and such a well deserving group of teachers.”

The new Burlington location in Dawsonville opens March 9.
