The Dawson County Board of Education now has a one-stop location for school registration.

"The Dawson County School District is pleased to announce the opening of its new Centralized Registration Center," said Dawson County School Superintendent Damon Gibbs.

The Registration Center begins accepting enrollees today.

"Any student seeking to enroll in the school district should report to the Registration Center to complete the enrollment process," Gibbs said. "This new center will help to streamline and expedite the process of getting students enrolled in school as soon as possible."

Gibbs said the new center will give parents a centralized location for registration.

"Parents and guardians with more than one child to register, at possibly more than one school, will no longer have to travel from school to school to complete multiple packages of enrollment papers," he said. "Once the process is complete, the student will then be enrolled in the appropriate school and will be ready for scheduling upon entry into the school."

The Center will be located at the Dawson County Schools Technology Center at 517 Allen Street, in Dawsonville.
