Adolphsen graduates from Agnes Scott College

Pia Adolphsen of Dawsonville received a Bachelor of Arts degree in German Studies, she also graduated Magna Cum Laude, during May commencement exercises at Agnes Scott College.

  

Adolphsen is the daughter of Brigitte Adolphsen and Gert Adolphsen of Dawsonville.

  

Adolphsen was one of about 200 members of the class of 2010 in the audience as The Honorable Madeleine K. Albright delivered the commencement address and Gay Johnson McDougall, class of 1969 and the first African-American student to enroll at Agnes Scott, presented the charge to the graduating class. Albright and McDougall received honorary doctorates from the college. Undergraduate honors included six summa cum laude graduates, 26 magna cum laude and 26 cum laude.

  

Agnes Scott, located in metro Atlanta, is a selective liberal arts and sciences college for women and is known for its dynamic and challenging intellectual community.
