The city of Dawsonville is hosting its second Food Truck Friday event from 5 to 9 p.m. June 22.
The event will be held on Bill Elliott Street and Tucker Avenue, behind the Purple Corn Boutique and across Shoal Creek Road from the sheriff's office. Both streets will be shut down around the Dawson County News for the festival, but should not impede traffic around the square.
Along with several food truck vendors, visitors can expect a bouncy house and slide, face painting, balloon animals, corn hole, vendors from the Amicalola Regional Farmers Market and more.
Food vendors signed up include Jay's Mexican Grill, Kani House, Hailey's Frozen Treats, Old Dad's Wings, Hot Dog Ninja, Big Guy's Barbeque and Not as Famous Cookie Co.
There will be designated parking and that the city hopes local residents will take advantage of the new sidewalks leading into town and walk to the event.
