Wiley Mezick, 64, of Dawsonville passed away Thursday May 16, 2013 at his residence following a period of declining health.

Born August 4, 1948 in LaGrange, Georgia to the late Jack and Christine Mezick, he had lived in Dawson County for over 37 years having moved from Austell. A retired farmer, he was employed by Tatum Farms for many years as well as farmed for himself. He was an ordained minister and deacon of Grace and Truth Church. Mr. Mezick was also preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Martha Mezick.

Surviving are his daughters, Christy Fraley, Kelly Mezick, both of Dawsonville; stepchildren, Carl Ramey, Linda Layson, Ernie Ramey, Mark Ramey; sister, Linda Smith, LaGrange; brothers, Jimmy Mezick, LaGrange, James Mezick, Lithia Springs, Steve Mezick, LaGrange; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday May 18, 2013 at 2 oclock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jimmy and Linda Manders will officiate. Interment will follow in Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Friday from 5 until 8 at the funeral home.
