Voters want Sunday sales, Gingrich

The unofficial election results show Dawson County voters approve of Sunday alcohol sales.

With all precincts reporting, 62.8 percent voted for retail Sunday sales, and 64.08 percent voted for Sunday sales by the drink.

Dawson County voters also want Newt Gingrich to be the next president, with 53 percent voting for the native Georgian.

Mitt Romney came in second in Dawson County, with 24.88 percent of the vote.

Gingrich won in the state of Georgia, with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reporting he has 47.4 percent of the vote, with Romney coming in with 25.7 percent.

Election results will be finalized once all absentee and military ballots are counted. Friday, March 9 is the deadline.
