The offense of the Jefferson High School Dragons was just too much for the Dawson County High School Tigers. The Dragons thrashed the Tigers 42-14 on Friday.

The first quarter of last Fridays game was nearly a stalemate, until the Dragons broke through with a touchdown as the quarter drew to a close, 7-0.

The Dragons kept rolling into the second quarter with another quick touchdown. The Tigers made several drives down the field, but turnovers stopped them in their tracks. The Tiger offense was held scoreless in the first half and the team entered halftime trailing, 42-0.

The Tigers were able to tack on two touchdowns in the second half thanks to Austin Pisseri and Zack Martin; however, the team was unable to mount any sort of substantial comeback.

The loss moves the Tigers to 1-2 on the season.

On Friday, Sept. 16, the Tigers will travel to Gainesville to play the Chestatee War Eagles who currently are 2-0 on the season. That game begins at 7:30 p.m.
