The satellite location of the Dawson County Library has expanded and made it even more convenient to return books.

In addition to more room for books, the satellite office also now has a book drop-off that allows patrons to return books anytime.

The satellite location is still located at 145 Liberty Drive, just past Tractor Supply Company on Highway 53. It is in the building with Fire Station Number 2 and tag office.

The satellite library was in one of the small offices in the building, but has now expanded to a suite.

They (library patrons) can pick up their holds and return anytime with the drop box, said Gail Jennings, administrative assistant of the Dawson County Library Branch.

The satellite location also has a small selection of DVDs and CD audio books.

Were starting to work on a selection of kids books. ... Were going to have that built up shortly, too, Jennings said.

Jennings said she thinks having the book drop-off will make it even more convenient for people to return books and DVDs. Before, people could only return things when were open.

The satellite is open Mondays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
