Relay for Life in Dawson County was held overnight on May 18 at Veterans Memorial Park, with local groups and organizations coming together with one common goal raise money to fight cancer. This year, the Relay for Life Dawson Committee set the goal (to raise) $90,000, and to date we have raised $80,000! Suzanne Hendricks, community manager for Dawson County for the American Cancer Society, said. We had a great turnout to celebrate our cancer survivors and caregivers.

Hendricks said that the committee will continue to collect donations until August 2012. We may hit our goal of $90,000 by then! she said.
