This years Northeast Georgia Bridal Show offers a unique chance to view whats available to anyone planning a wedding in 2014 and beyond.

The interactive wedding event will be held from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at Unicoi Lodge in Helen.

The show, featuring close to 70 vendors, will include gift shops, florists, bridal fashion showcase, caterers, furniture, hair salons and much more for prospective brides and bridegrooms.

In addition, the 2014 Northeast Georgia Bridal magazine, published by Community Newspapers, will make its annual debut.

This 52-page, full-color magazine is full of helpful and entertaining stories about brides and weddings in this area.

Attendees will be given a copy of the magazine, filled with advertising from Northeast Georgia businesses who specialize in making weddings extraordinary.

There also will be gift bags and prizes worth more than $3,000, including the opportunity to register to win a specialty bridal basket valued at more than $1,000.

The show is sponsored by and hosted by the Northeast Georgia Region of Community Newspapers. Inc., which includes The Northeast Georgian.

This years show is expanded because of the success of the first two years, said Bridget Foster, show director.

When we launched this in 2012, Foster said, we anticipated its growth.

Because of the popularity within the regional wedding industry, she said, moving the show to a larger venue made sense this year.

Regional Publisher Alan NeSmith said he is pleased with the niche the show and the bridal publication has created in Northeast Georgia.

Brides and their families looking for the best wedding professionals know they can find it at this show, NeSmith said.
