What was supposed to be a transaction over the website CraigsList soon turned into a robbery ... and then into a drug bust.

Lt. Ray Goodie with the Dawson County Sheriffs Department confirmed that two Atlanta men have been arrested in connection with the case.

The complainant said that he had called some guys about buying an Xbox over CraigsList, Goodie said. They came out, and they snatched the money over $150 from him and left the area.

From there, Goodie said, the case got even more interesting.

The victims arm got stuck in the passenger side of the vehicle, he explained, saying that it was unclear whether his arm was caught in the seatbelt or in the car seat itself. The assailants, however, kept driving, dragging the victim along with the car for a short distance, approximately 100 yards, Goodie said.

The June 5 incident took place in the parking lot of the Atlanta Sports Academy on Gold Creek Road, where the victim was a student. The assailants then were apprehended on Ga. 400.

Once they were stopped, they admitted they werent there to sell an Xbox, Goodie said. They were there to sell marijuana, and had made the decision to rip the victim off for the money.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment for road rash and other minor injuries.

Isiah L. Walker, 21, Wesley L. Carter, 18, and Eric R. Wong, 17, all from Atlanta, were arrested on charges of robbery, aggravated assault and possession of marijuana (less than one ounce). Carter has bonded out, while Walker remains in the detention facility. In addition to Walker and Carter, a juvenile was arrested.

The investigation is continuing, and more charges may be pending, Goodie said.
