A Dawson County man is accused of assaulting a pregnant woman and a 65-year-old man.

Troy Moss Jr., 39, is charged with one count of assault and three counts of battery; one count against a 65-year-old man and one count against a pregnant female, according to Dawson County Sheriffs Office records.

The charges stem from two incidents, Dawson County Sheriff Public Information Officer Tony Wooten said.

The first incident Moss occurred at a residence off Harmony Church Road, where Moss allegedly tackled the 65-year-old male to the ground.

The second incident happened at the same residence Sept. 21, when Moss was accused of trying to choke the 65-year-old as well as shoving the pregnant female when she attempted to break up the altercation. Moss also is accused of shoving another man involved in the incident, Wooten said.

Moss was arrested on Sept. 21. The reasons for the disputes are not known.

As of press time Moss is detained at the Dawson County Detention Center.
