A Dawson County man was reported missing in Dawson Forest on Monday, June 8, local officials said.

Quinton "Jimmy" Walls, 50, was last seen by campers in the horse-trailer parking area of Dawson Forest on Saturday.

"The game warden found his truck in the parking lot Monday," said Dawson County Emergency Services Deputy Chief Tim Satterfield. "Our teams have searched on foot, on horseback, and with our K9 teams in an 8 - 10 mile radius of where his truck was found. We also floated the Etowah river from Highway 9 to Kelly Bridge.

"There's no sign of him."

Dawson County Sheriff Billy Carlisle said foul play is not suspected.

"There is nothing pointing to anything criminal or foul play right now," Carlisle said. Walls was driving his mothers small pickup truck.

My son is not a camper, Walls' mother, Gracie Lou Walls, said Wednesday. He wouldn't have been camping in there.
