A Dawsonville couple has won the lottery in a Second Chance Drawing, driving away in a brand-new vehicle.

Kathie Floyd and her husband, Marshall, had played the instant game Jeep Outdoor Adventure. They had lost initially, but then entered the tickets into a Second Chance Drawing online.

We forgot about it, Kathie Floyd recalled. The last drawing was at the end of December, and thats the one where they gave away the final Jeep.

Floyd called the news a great Christmas gift. The couple already has two family vehicles, but the new Jeep means they can feel more secure with reliable transportation.

The Floyds also had the opportunity to choose their own Jeep.

They gave you a certain amount of money that you could spend, Kathie Floyd explained. So we really got what we wanted. After looking at all of the vehicles at Troncalli Jeep in Cumming, Floyd selected a 2013 Jeep Wrangler.

The Floyds received the Jeep, plus extra spending money, on Jan. 22. She said that the couples son is getting married this year, so the extra money is a blessing.

And, she said, they plan to continue playing the lottery.

My husbands won a little bit of money in the past, she said. I think well keep going! They say you can get on a roll, so maybe thats what well do.
