For the first time in 21 years the Dawson County varsity girls basketball team will compete in the State Final Four.

The Lady Tigers shocked Decatur in the State Quarterfinals by outscoring the Lady Bulldogs 16-5 in the fourth quarter to earn a 52-47 win in front of a jubilant crowd in Dawsonville on Tuesday night.

This Saturday at 4 p.m. Dawson is set to battle Southwest Macon on the campus of Armstrong State for the right to play in the State Finals.
