Jack Red Young, 60, of Dawsonville passed away Saturday May 25, 2013.

Born August 21, 1952 to the late Raleigh and Eula Young, he was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. Mr. Young was a commercial truck driver and formerly worked as a drywall contractor. Red was a loving husband and father and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Young, Dawsonville; daughter, Becky Young, Dawsonville; son, Bobby Young, Bainbridge; sister and brother in law, Ruth and Jim Markham, Braselton; brothers and sister in law, Larry and Joni Young, Canton, Jerry Young, Dawsonville; sister in law and brother in law, Martha and Mike Wilson, Dawsonville; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday May 28, 2013 at 2 oclock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jason Hamby will officiate. Interment will follow in the Dawsonville City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends after 2:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to assist with final expenses.
