The Dawsonville Moonshine Distillery will host its first Old Georgias Moonshiners Reunion Saturday, July 20, 12 p.m. 9 p.m. The free event is open to the public and will give former moonshiners and families a chance to unite with others who saw moonshining as a way of life. Former revenuers are also welcome. The distillery will offer tours with complimentary tastings and the gift shop will be open. The event will feature performances by bluegrass and country bands and The Pit Stop restaurant will be serving hamburgers and wings and several raffles and drawings will be held with proceeds benefiting the COPD Foundation.
