Chase Elliott is quickly making a name for himself in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

The young contender finished in the fifth spot last Sunday at the NCWTS North Carolina Education Lottery 200 held at Rockingham Speedway.

The finish earns Elliott a two-for-two, top-10 finish record. He earned his first in his Truck Series debut on April 6 at Martinsville Speedway, Va.

Elliott began the weekend with an impressive start while driving the No. 94 Aarons Dream Machine/Hendrickcars.com Chevrolet.

He and crew chief Lance McGrew scored the fastest lap during Saturdays final practice (25.208 seconds at approximately 142.812 mph). His success continued during Sundays qualifying session earning a fourth-place starting position for the race.

He finished in the fifth spot securing his first top-five finish in only his second contention in the NCWTS.

Elliott moved up six spots to rank 15th in the NCWTS point standings following his run at the Rock.

Next up, Elliott will drive his No. 94 Aarons Dream Machine/Hendrickcars.com Chevrolet at Dover International Speedway for the Lucas Oil 200, held on Friday, May 31. Racing begins at 5 p.m.
